Since buying a 2010 Tundra in Europe my Spotify personal recommendations have largely changed to Country music? Do you think they know as previously I have not been an avid country fan .
But ,more seriously, I am getting an intermittent ABS and VSC warning light with codes C0273 and C1251. I have read some things on the forum about this but dont understand if its a mechanical or electrical fault?Would changing the ABS Anti Lock Brake Actuator Pump help? After checking the fuses etc?
    Any help would be appreciated.Thanks.

I'm told you need to smoke a lot of weed before country music starts to sound good.

Good luck with the brakes, someone will chime in soon.

I would start with a sensor after the fuses. Abs sensors are pretty flakey at the best of times. Good luck with it.

Wait, you got the error codes once you started listening to country music? This seems like a Spotify conspiracy.

I’m am no help with your codes...

but I want to see pictures of a euro spec tundra, I love seeing vehicles in other countries because they have different lighting specs and sometimes different looks

Thanks for this.I will check the sensors and see if I have any luck. My Tundra is a US import so exactly the same as your models .As far as I am aware they were only made for the North American market? Spotify- I will monitor ;)

Thanks for the info, did you have to do anything to the US spec tundra to meet standards in your country?

    good luck

If it's country from the last 15-20 yrs, they don't make shit to make that "country music" sound good.

When I have imported American spec cars before to Europe the main change needed is to change the indicators/turn signals. Mostly in Europe they have to be orange so if they are red they generally need to be changed.Sometimes it is as simple as a different bulb other times a bit more fiddly.Getting parts can be a nuisance. Engine parts are ok for the Tundra as they are often the same as a Land cruiser but anything else is a special order from the States which generally triples the price with shipping and taxes.

I think a quote I used to hear on the radio station years ago would be appropriate here. It was, "Boy, you got great taste in music. Oh, you got fine taste in music. All them records sound like they been pressed off center. And I think you got a head to match the records..."

Have you had any luck figuring out what caused those codes? I have the same two codes, the Brake, ABS, and Trac lights are solid, they sometimes go away but once I turn the truck off and on they come back on.

It's the same for me. Strangely if I wash the truck they often go off when around the wheels etc have been cleaned. This might be a complete coincidence but I am going to replace the ABS wheel speed sensors and see if that helps. Will let you know if it works once they are fitted.

Where in Europe are you? I imagine driving the Tundra could be a bit difficult on the smaller, winding European roads. Hell, parking here in the US can sometimes be difficult in bigger cities.

The abs wheel sensors are on back order so I am still waiting for them to arrive but hopeful that they will do the trick. On a different note the roads in Italy are not built for big trucks so one has to think about which car to take where as it can be difficult to park or drive through narrow tight medieval roads.Mind you when I had a Corvette this was also not straightforward as it is very low and used to ground out on the same roads....scraping the front spoiler.

So fixed the new abs wheel sensors which was a quick and easy job.But the warning lights are still on (Brakes/VSC/ABS) When I started the hunt the 2 codes showing were C0273 and C1251.Now "only" the latter,C1251, is showing.Next try will be to replace the abs actuator assembly etc.

I imagine that will be a very expensive job. I know the OEM brake actuator on my Prius and Tacoma is somewhere in the $1600 range just for the part

Latest update.Problem solved I hope . I bought a lightly used actuator on ebay from a company called LK online for $100.Had it shipped, takes about a month, so with taxes and shipping etc was $300 landed BUT installed it today and it , so far, has done the job.No ABS etc warning lights so happy about that.I had repacked the sensors on each wheel, checked the wiring etc but it was still not fixed so took a chance with the replacement actuator.

So...after one week. There are no warning lights and the truck seems to brake a little better so it appears, fingers crossed, that this problem is resolved. I noticed that I bought the used unit on ebay from a company called LKQ online that had lots of replacement actuators for various Tundra models.
