Air conditioner

Can anyone tell me why I can't turn off the air conditioner and just have the vent? I have pushed the A/C button but it doesn't work. I sometimes just want recycled air. I have a 2020 Tundra TSs Off Road crew cab.

Try moving your thermostat back from the coolest setting. In my 2016, there’s a noticeable bump while turning to let you know you’re not on max cooling. Once yo get past that point, you should be able to run just outside air without the AC. Hope this makes sense.

 

Is your temp set to low? It turns on at max setting and I think maybe anything under 65.

 

I take that back. I thought it did, but just tried mine and it turned off and stayed off on lo. I was also able to turn on recirc and ac stayed off. Unless it’s a change in the 20s, might be something wrong. You could have the dealer look at it and try others on the lot while you are there.
