I had some work done on my tundra and when they plugged my fuel economy display on my dash back in it doesn't work. Is there something I should look for? I can't find a schematic anywhere.

Did you plug in the buttons on the dash? The ones that reset the fuel economy?

The display on the center of the dash is tied to the buttons on the dash to the right of the steering wheel and all of that is tied to the gauges as well. The MPG display moves from center of the dash to the gauges/odometer display on Platinum models with Optitron gauges. Same wiring for different trim levels. So if your gauges are working, I’ll bet it’s the buttons/reset switches

These are Optitron gauges. After installing them, my MPG reading automatically moved to the gauge cluster and the center of the dash only displays the time. The buttons on the dash to the right of the steering wheel control the info on gauges now. That’s why I’m thinking they forgot to plug the buttons in.

no clock on the center of the dash (mpg, temp, dte)? Mine wasn't working when I bought my 07, someone replaced the ac evaporator and when they had the dash out they missed a plug on the very top left under the dash near the a pillar, it plugs into the BACK of the connection box for all the body control plugs. I almost missed it putting the dash back together.

I had my a/c evap changed too, I will look at that too. Can I get to it without removing the entire dashboard?

Would everything else still work if that plug was missed? I am referring to the digital readout above the radio. Everything appears to be plugged in but still no power. Does it have its own fuse?

My truck does not have the display over my steering wheel. My display is over the radio on top of the dashboard. It does not light up at all and all is connected and it is the only thing not working. Does it have a fuse of its own?
