Ran across this on FB earlier today...and try as I might, I can't really disproved this. Laughed for a good long time.

Although I love that there are so many. The two in our Audi are solid (tension pieces keep stuff in place), but there’s just the 2.

Yeah I can agree with that. As @sotex already stated, there are plenty of holders. Most of being bottle holders in the doors (8 to be exact). Then the 3 cup holders that I get to use in the center of the console. It just doesn't seem well thought out. I spilt some water the other day because I hit the shifter with my cup.. At least it was just water.

Oh yeah, my gripe is definitely not with the # of cupholders. I mean, 7 in the front, 6 in back is great. I just wish they'd fit....well, ANYTHING I put in them. LOL And yeah, location is odd.

I dunno what you guys are using. The cupholders in my 05 are awesome. They perfectly fit my Yeti mug, a Nalgene water bottle or a McDonald's coffee cup.

I have an Iceshaker (kind of like a Yeti) and it fits well - just a little loose. The one that puzzles me is the one closest to the dash. I think there's enough height for a shot glass, but that's about it!

I did add some silicone pieces that help things not slide around. I found the full set on Amazon. I didn't use half the pieces because the ship all the pieces for either a DC or CC.

Like this, but I think mine was cheaper:https://www.google.com/aclk?sa=L&ai...jA0ruU7pPrAhUlgK0KHYZcBFwQ9aACegQIDRA-&adurl=

Yeah I agree....they were great in my 05 and in the right location. However, sold it 3 weeks and and then picked up this 20. Lost the use of the practical cup holders but gained an additional 94 horsepower and additional 12 gallons of fuel. I take that.
