I expect that at some point my factory battery will fail and I’ll have to buy a new one.

The factory battery, in my '18 CM, died a few weeks ago after 2 years and 17,000 miles. A real shitty deal, if you ask me. BUT, that being said, my local dealer replaced said POS original OEM battery with an upgraded 84-month Toyota TRUESTART battery, free of charge. I am going to assume (read pray) that it will last longer than the last OEM POS.

Got my 2017 used in late 2018 and the battery was dead and replaced by early 2019. I was less than impressed with the factory battery so I replaced it was an AGM type battery and haven’t had an issue since.

I used to service some of those systems too and they were all are scratchy on a good day but by design too!

On the other hand my Nephew thinks his phone speakers are the best speakers that he has ever heard!

It is all in your point of view I guess?

I'll make a stop at the dealership this week and let all of you know what they say. This morning when I left for work it was a little sluggish to start; kind of surprising considering the truck has less than 10,000 miles on it, and is less than a year old.

Just in case, I picked up one of these:[IMG]

The drive-in we are headed to still has the old posts for the speakers, but the speakers are long gone. They recommend a boom box.

    ....a boom box...

Everyone hang on, I have to take my time machine back to 1985. Back in a minute.

Stock battery lasted a long time for me, I got the truck with 8000 miles and at 87,327 miles the stock battery finally gave out. I just put the new battery in July 29th
