I have an s8 light bar that I wired up but I think my connections are spotty at best. Can’t get the bar to fire on consistently. I have the drl function wired up as well and that seems to run when it wants to as well.

As I’m trying to diagnose where I went wrong I get to the weatherpack supplied by Baja designs and when I move it around I can get the light to fire. So I’ve narrowed it down to a bad connection and I’m pretty sure it’s my positive connection.

My question is what are the downsides to bypassing this entire connector and simply splicing my wires together, shrink wrapping and calling it a day?

What wiring harness are you using?

I’m using a Baja designs harness. I think it’s just the pins in the weather pack but I’m debating if it’s even worth it to replace or just splice and waterproof with shrink wrap and electrical tape
