    @Slp82
89 pound which, 110 pound bumper, extra battery? and any other controllers lights or do-dads. I'm wondering how's your truck feel and rides sense your modifications?, as I have the Toytec Radflo 3/1 with 650 lb springs up front and Boss Tt200TRR-P W/ remote reservoirs and blocks in the back. I'm looking at winches too, you have some valid points on cable verses Nylon rope.
Ive been looking at the Smitty Bilt X20 12000 lb which is advertised as 63 Lbs. but add the extra battery and other cables and do dads its going to be close to what you have. So my question is does it feel nose heavy? Thanks So much. Ter.:mudding:

2014 Tundra 4x4 5.7L DC; Bilstein 6112s @ 1.9"; 35x12.50 Nitto Ridge Grapplers on 20x9 wheels with +25 backspacing; DV8 front & rear bumpers, Engo 12k winch (SOLD) 2005 Tundra RC 4.7 4x4 w/3" spacer, addicted offroad tube winch bumper w/9k Engo, homemade sliders, skid row skid plate, 285/75r16 Cooper AT3, Detroit trutrac in rear.
I do not have a extra battery. I have owned a Engo 9k winch on my 2005 Tundra 4x4 and used it well over 100 times and never felt like I needed a extra battery. Most of the time, the winch will get too hot before you could fully drain the battery. Plus I almost always use a snatch block when winching so this significantly cuts down on the amps the winch pulls from the battery. I have seen people use their winch 3 or 4 times and ruin it because they don't understand that heat kills a winch fast. Winch for 60 to 90 seconds and then let the winch cool down for 7 to 8 minutes. This is why my winch on my 2005 Tundra is almost 6 years old and still works perfectly after over 100 uses.

Now as for my 2014 Tundra with this setup, it rides great. The bumper, and winch were installed BEFORE the Bilstein 6112s, and before they were installed, it was super nose heavy and even in corners it had a ton of body roll. In general it felt like total crap. Once the Bilstein 6112s set at 1.9" settings were installed, it doesn't dip at all even under moderate hard breaking. It handles better now than it did when it was stock before the bumper and winch. I can't speak obviously for your setup, but the Bilstein 6112s handle the extra weight like a dream. Honestly I feel like if the extra weight was not on the Bilstein 6112s, it might handle a little too firm for me.

Slp82, Thanks for the reply. I get the heat thing as I've seen buddy's do what your explaining, In a hurry to get un stuck and fry the winch or worse. I'll be able to get one next year. I got other parts to get for now but its always great to know your tricks. My truck did the same thing, before I got my 3/1 lift on. Just felt nose heavy. Now its good. My only issue is I want the TRD front sway bar instead of the stock one thats on my truck presently. Still my truck handles great on turns and hard breaking. I spoke to The Coach Builder folks about there shim kit and shackle kit which I'm thinking of buying too. Glad to hear your happy with you new parts. Hope your well. thanks for the info keep in touch. Ter.

I'm not sure if the Sequoia's is hollow but several here have done the upgrade. @Ronan would be the one to ask.

    2018 Tundra,
Removed Stock bumper and Replaced With KO Off-road Bumper. When ordering, you have to order the 2016 and you will have to grind the back corners of the winch tray to mount, for this truck.
Pulled old bumper off and mounted new bumper in less than 2 hours. You will need helper,
Real easy, to put on and you do not have to remove grill at all..
Still have some more things I will add later

Nope, I have it disconnected, it lights up on my dash . But, it will not cause any issues with your vehicle. That’s what the service advisor at Toyota shared with me.

You disconnected the sensor in the grill?
I assume you also lose the adaptive cruise control?
Any instances of the precollision warnings with the sensor disconnected?
Personally I dont need/want either systems, but does it continually have the error popup that covers the other info on the screen?

Yes, the sensor is disconnected in the grill and will not effect your vehicle.

I have been driving without it, since the day I bought the truck. When I bought it, it had 3 miles on the truck. I took it a week later, and had a leveling kit installed, new rims and tires, new fender flares, new rear shocks, and installed Westin running boards.

I was having issues since day one with TSS sensor and there is a recall due to Going off and nothing is in front of you. It still went off with the leveling kit, its a glitch in the system.

I had a brand new one installed, same thing. I told them would it effect any function with the truck, and they said no, that was the service advisories and 2 mechanics. I leave it unplugged.

Toyota 6 months back, came out with a new grill to for those who lift and mount lights above bumpers, not sure if f it made it to showroom yet?

I have driven many trucks with lights on the dash, Hell it will keep me more alert than hearing that stupid thing going off cause I veer in another lane. If you hit a car , then you should not be driving.

Also, there was an act created back in 1979 that forbids automotive manufacturers from refusing to honor your warranty should you lift your truck,
I was hestinate about lifting, and yet I could of gone higher. I am content with what I have.

My last truck was a 2009 Duramax LTZ 2500 with a 10” cognito lift, dual fox racing shoxs, 40” Toyo,
It had a Banks Super Charger, and sat as high as a commercial dump truck..
I had $30k in it, and took it to carmax and sold it for $36k
Would of kept it, kept having electrical glitches in the system, apparently that year is known for issues

Question for guys using these winch bumpers (or any really) do you see a significant fuel mileage reduction when you put a full replacement plus winch on the front of your tundra?

    Thanks

Indidnthe fab fours, it was 185lbs before the 12k winch. I didn't really notice a difference. That was after 35s too.
