Having a weird issue with my sp9100 install and need some ideas of what the issue might be. On cold starts the 50” heretic light bar connected to switch 5 will work normally. The problem occurs after the car has been running for 30mins to an hour, I’ll try to power on the light bar and it will shut off after a second followed by the blinking indicator signifying a fault. Switch 5 overcurrent value is set to 35A. After shutting down the car and waiting awhile switch 5 will again work normally upon cold start.

All the wiring/crimps/ground/fuses look good, so I’m out of ideas. Any input would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

It looks like your model has 4x 35a relays. Can you move the bar to another 35a circuit? That would isolate a relay issue. The relay's NO contacts are always hot on one side when the car is on. A failing relay could be heating up on that side while the truck is running but not passing a load through

Thanks for the suggestion. So far switch 6 seems to be fine. Looks like I’ll have to reach out to switch pro.

So just to update, the light bar I’m using has a max amp draw of 35.5 @ 13.8v. The theory is that at cold start the amp draw is less than 35amps and as the truck gets driven for an extended amount of time the battery voltage reaches 13.8v causing the max 35.5 amp draw causing the protection to kick in. For the more technically inclined does this theory sound correct?
