I had this from another truck years ago. I was hoping there was an AFR gauge. What the heck is this reading?
    Thank you

This was at idle after a lil' driving.

    Thank you.

The reading is measuring oz/second of air going through the MAF sensor. In very simple terms, as you rev the engine, the airflow should increase. If your air flow rate doesn't change in line with engine RPM and accelerator position you may have a MAF issue.

As a single item, the gauge is of limited value. But combined with others and reviewing your changes over time, the gauge can assist in diagnosing issues such as rough idle, low power, etc.

I'm sure a MAF expert will chime in soon enough.

Thank you Pete. I was hoping this would give me an AFR gauge. But there is no option for that gauge in the options.

    Thank you again Pete!

It doesn't have an Air/Fuel Ratio gauge?

    What Garmin do you have?

    Thank you.

Aren’t the stock o2 sensors narrowband? AFR readings wouldn’t be very good if that’s the case.

Belief: I thought Toyota changed to wideband sensors years back. Not sure.

Opinion: Unless you're tuning a supercharger or where a 0.1 difference can blow something up, the slow updates and lesser accuracy isn't a big deal. For the curious observer to determine if a vehicle is running rich or lean a narrowband should be good enough. Again, just my opinion though - not an expert on this.

Yea I’m no expert either. On my Lexus I ran a OBD reader with an app that had the AFR option. Had some crazy readings like 18:1.
