I live in North Central Pa. in Tioga County. We have a lot of improved dirt roads. It's almost impossible to keep your truck clean! I power wash the best I can and have our vehicles sprayed yearly with Krown Rust proofing. Krown kept my 2016 Tundra rust free in this dirty enviroment. Just wondering who else lives with dirt/gravel roads and how you deal with up keep?

This is the main reason I picked a white tundra. I can go a month without washing my truck and it looks decently clean still. I don't have to worry about rust living out here in the desert though so I'm lucky there.

I’ve seen guys run rock tamer’s underneath their trucks behind the front wheels to stops rocks and sand pitting the chassis. Don’t know if it would help your case for the body much. I always thought a good wax/polish helps dust not stick? Sounds like it’s the opposite of my thoughts though.

We live up a semi-maintained dirt road. We get about 2 months of dry weather, other than that it's afternoon rain showers then snow so the road is typically a muddy mess. I spray off the truck when I can get a few days of clear weather... other than that just make sure to have really good interior protection and deal with a dirty truck. Like Medic343 mentioned, lighter colored vehicles seem to look cleaner - wife drives a dark gray vehicle and it's useless trying to keep the outside looking clean.

Next tundra will be white or silver, I have about 2.5 miles of dirt roads till the tar. One other thing to note is that black and red will break down faster then then any other colors. Also Joe I use Amsoil MP HD for rust protection along with flairs that are sealed to protect the wheel wells from chipping.

Yup. Went with white. Last Tundra was White too. Seems to always be white no matter how dirty.

Yup live on a gravel/dirt road and my truck is black. I basically gave up on keeping it clean. I used to drive a Miata when i lived in a regular suburb and i always kept it detailed and pristine so this is definitely a change that triggers my OCD. At least these trucks look cool dirty!

Between living couple miles in on gravel, and visiting mountain communication sites I gave up on clean. It gets washed monthly and touchup paint as needed to keep it from surface rusting. It's a working truck, not a "for show only".
