Wow!! Just took the big boy plunge and went in on recently traded in 2019 TRD Off Road SR5 double cab. I stepped up from a 09 tacoma OR and boy what a difference!! Always wanted a Tundra and the stars aligned.

Huge huge huge power gain. The Tacoma was a ton of fun and got a lot of good use out of it but man this Tundra just feels heavenly. 21st century luxuries but still has the truck feel. And she's already talking about getting a camper. And no way was that Tacoma towing anything but a little utility trailer and even then you'd feel it. Threw the same trailer on the Tundra and it thanked me. What a dream. This thing is everything I thought it would be.

Going to try and keep it stock. Tacoma was fully decked for rock crawling and camping.

I believe I just missed a wet okole group buy. Anyone have an idea when they swing back around? Or just bite the bullet and get em now? Only mod I'm doing for awhile, if it's even considered a mod.

Glad there's another place like TW for the big dogs!! Mount up!!

Thanks man I'm thinking about 3-4 years I'll be headed out your way with a camper in tow... Time to put some windshield time in the big boy.

I will stick with small mods in the future. Better tires and wheels. Probably a better suspension that levels and everything else will be cosmetic. I am finding that I prefer to keep my truck as close to stock as possible.

Yeah same as you get older they say you get wiser.. Feeling that with truck mods. Will see what camper does to rear suspension and possibly go the way of some more firestone ride rite airbags. They were a life saver on my Tacoma. Hunting gear and long camping trips add a ton of weight. The airbags are the ticket man. Maybe in 5 years a set of Method wheels. Always had a eye for those bad boys.

Check out the towing section. Good info on what the tundra should and should not tow.

Yeah that will most certainly be the first 'mod' I make. I don't really consider it a Mod as much as necessity. But with a half-ton truck you can obviously put more of a load on it before the sag sets in. It will just have to be considered into the price of the camper. "oh honey you found a nice cheap camper, add another 2 grand for necessities on top"
