Hello - New to the group , I just bought a 2017 Tundra with the 4.6 (yes I would rather gotten the 5.7) - got a killer deal on a very clean truck - just wondering if anyone has ever tried aftermarket exhaust and Air filter intake ? Was there any noticeable difference?

    Welcome to the forum.

I'm not fully up to speed on 4.6 stuff, so I apologize in advance if any of this is wrong.

Dirty Deeds is easily the most popular exhaust on the forum, and with good reason. Lots of options for and Keith is a great guy to work with. I am not sure if he makes stuff compatible with the 4.6 though. The Tundra stock air intake is basically a cold air intake already, so after market ones aren't doing much more than making noise. Some like that, others don't. Not 100% sure if it's the same on the 4.6.

You are correct. Drop in an AFE or K&N in the stock box, which is a CAI. Keith does have 4.6 compatible exhaust systems.

Nothing wrong with the 4.6, its a great motor.

I have a Flowmaster on mine, but there are many options. Get a drop in filter for your intake. I have the 4.6 in my 2013. I would highly recommend a Pedal Commander. It takes care of the throttle delay and wakes the truck up. There are a few threads on it. I have had mine for about 2 years now...best $300 spent.

Welcome from Ohio. Start reading through some threads and you'll find a ton of opinions on both air filters and exhausts. Enough opinions that you will be able to build up your own and decide how to modify your truck.

Also, Post some pics of the new truck!
