GLWS. I recently pulled mine out due to an audio upgrade and android head unit...no longer needed. However, it seemed not many folks knew much about these. My experience was awesome. I loved being able to use the stock head unit as video player etc. I had contemplated listing it on here. I'll see how you make out.

I have a front camera but keeping that and was able to view it on the radio screen, I just needed to get a switch to power between the wireless connection for cell phone mirroring and the camera. But yes it worked great when I just plugged the camera into the yellow video input.

 

Does someone need a different head unit other than a stock one to use this? or does it basically just make the stock unit work like it has android auto? If so im reallly interested in getting this.

 

It allows you to mirror your phone onto the head unit...even when moving. You will just need to long press a button on your steering wheel to bypass the "locked while in motion" feature.

 

So I can use the Nav from my phone and it would go right to the head unit? Do you lose bluetooth or is it all stay the same except for the mirroring? If i can get one of these to enable android auto whilst not having to get a new head unit, ill start shopping for one of these.

 

Correct, you can use your phone navi. What you see on your phone, you see on your head unit. Keep in mind, you'll need to turn your phone to landscape to fill the screen on your head unit. Bluetooth stays connected.

 

That is some handy information. Thanks a ton, ill be in the market for one of these setups! Beats dropping a few hundred dollars on a new setup when this will do the trick!!!

Dang...was just going to offer you mine. Nothing wrong at all, I just did a complete audio gut and install. Posted my install on this forum. Mine also comes with the toyota specific harness. $75 shipped. The only thing is that I cannot locate my install manual but it's online and VERY simple.

 

Still for for sale, it has the wireless feature.
