One of my favorite spots to fish! I’ll be stopping by there Monday on my way to Bridgeport Reservoir. Gonna test out my new boat!

Yup. Aired down enough, even the stock Michelin’s on my 3rd gen 2WD have done well in desert sand that wants to pull the tires (I’d never try the beach tho-, or dunes), but that’s ‘cause it’s a 2WD. Gotta keep steady on the gas, and can’t stop quickly, because it builds a wall of sand in front of each tire.

I’ve been out on dunes at Superstition with the Taco in aired down mud tires (Cooper stt Pro’s), even rescued a full size truck... twice! Bed and cab loaded for camping. So yeah, airing down is key.

If you’re gonna be around the Bishop area, I highly recommend Bishop Creek, Lake Sabrina, North and South Lakes... to name a few.

Airing down any tire makes a positive difference. But if you’re running 18” wheels, and could go to 35” tires, Nitto RG or TG, or maybe BFG KM3’s could be perfect for your needs.

What’s good guys?! I’m Benny from San Clemente, do we have any meets or anything right now? We just picked up a 2019 TRD 4x4 crewmax, some fox 2.5 Coilovers with remote reservoirs and some methods

Nothing wrong with power bait. You just can’t catch and release as most of the time they swallow the hook. I prefer to catch and release so I usually fish with a mini jig, metal spoon, or mice tails. I prefer 2lb line and UL fishing poles. If you need some more info send me a message and I’ll share some knowledge.

Welcome, Benny! That’s some fine equipment you’ve got there.

We haven’t met often lately due to the damned C-19. :angrygirl: I drove all the way up to Shaver Lake this weekend to get some rock-crawling in. :curls: Everyone wore masks and skipped hand-shakes for the meet n greet portions, and we all stay in our own truck bubbles the rest of the time, so off-road meets are perfect pandemic play! If you have an idea about a run you’d like to do, or a parking lot you’d like to hang out in, post up and you’ll get takers.

July-August is f’ing hot though, everywhere except San Clemente... so maybe you could just invite us all over.

    Hahaha thank you sir!
I was thinking of one in the pier parking lot or maybe North beach but I’m open to where ever! Somewhere on the coast would be nice. Just got the shocks in today!!!
