Backup camera options?

I have a 2010 CM SR5 2wd
- stock stereo
- no JBL speakers

I’m looking at backup camera options.
I just did a quick search and saw I could spend $100-$150, I have the theory “if I’m gonna do this I might as well ______”

Approx how much would I spend if I did a new radio? I don’t want to spend $1000, my budget would be $250-350. Is this even doable?

 

I have a cheap Boss Audio double din for a
Android Auto ($250) and bought one of these cameras off Amazon. Drilled a hole into the tail gate handle to imitate OE location. The angle is a bit low but it works.

Just a tad over $300 in total to my door.

 

I got this one. It seams to work pretty good. The angle is steep. But I can see what I need. I'll try and get a pic of the view.

I did something similar to this. I ordered the camera below I saw that another member used. Came with a hole saw, just drilled a hole in the factory tailgate handle to mount. I also ordered a cheap rear view mirror monitor that clips onto the mirror. It'll work for now until I get a new head unit.
