Hello! I posted this in the 2nd gen forum as well, but I have been looking for a Tundra for a little while now and I think I finally found the one. It's a 2010 CrewMax SR5 with 215k miles on the 5.7l and out the door I am at $13k. One owner, clean CarFax and 39 service records on it. The previous owner was good about the maintenance. They had the 120k service done in 2015 and the brakes were completely done in 2018 at 178k miles. This will be my whenever I need something for the house or need to haul something truck and not my daily driver.

I have a family friend who is a mechanic and has her own shop who went with me to take a look at the truck. She steered me towards Toyota when I has told her I was looking for an inexpensive used truck and what the intended purpose was. She has a 1st gen Sequoia and her husband has a later 2nd gen Tundra and he's also a mechanic who services Toyota and Lexus vehicles. I trust her opinion greatly and was happy when she volunteered to come look at it with me. The test drive went well and she said the engine sounded normal to her and the transmission shifted well. She messed with every button and knob, and warned me and the salesman that she was going to put it through the ringer, and boy did she. She said it was a good truck and the only issues were cosmetic. She did tell me the shocks would probably need to be replaced sooner rather than later though but I will have her do it. She told me the 5.7l was very reliable and to try to find a truck with that engine.

I should be picking it up tomorrow morning sometime. I'm excited about what I can do with it! :)

Welcome. Yeah kind d of high mileage but these trucks run for a lot longer time than most. I'm not too high in experience but u probably can get some wisdom off this forum.

Thank you! Is that a good price? Should I be concerned a about the miles on it?
