A couple folks pm'd me after posting a photo of my 17 trd pro on 35's. here is my experience:

My cement pro was ordered by someone else who bailed when it came in. Lucky for me I have a connection at the dealer and my phone rang first. It came from the dealer with bfg ko2 35x12.5s. Here is what it looked like:7e67a77359160ee97f1a9ac16b87c982_44681ca1fc4c0fd8b800296a9d57ac4093d47b73.jpg
    746631f4fcf59134f8ab9e7f7650a3ab_a21454dcbd22b2778f79939cc69adf6a8a86d414.jpg

After driving for a week I couldn't take it. They look absolutely bad a$$ but the rub. Mainly in reverse. The mud flaps in front are gone but it rubs slightly on the bolt in the front of the fender liner:
    a77d3cd2ee0f0cc25461bfd955e8084d_6f1d8ca3208302883bbc3261440d9c5f5eec1ee4.jpg

    And the sway bar:

Although I could not stick my pinky between the uca and the tire, it did not seem to run the uca.

    So I began to research....

I can now confirm that the following is true:
    d47e49f0b550a9ef64da50ffe96dad01_5415083f2bf950d38e6df0717dc7ad07f1cc189d.jpg

So I went with the 305/65/18 only because bfg ko2's don't come in that size. Ridge grapplers do but I was limited on the trade. Below is a series of pictures comparing. The last will be my truck on 305s. I love them. Drives better and looks more balanced imo.

Very good post and info. Only thing I question is that the ridge grapplers don't come in a 305.

    Oh one or two.
Different wheels and remove that front plastic and your good. I've ran 35's with less lift then the pro with no rubbing wheel offset is key 18x9 with a +20 to +25mm and your golden with 35x12.50's.

None whatsoever. Took it off road this weekend and never once rubbed anything.

I am not sure if the ridge grapplers come in 305 or not. I meant that the ko2's don't come in the 295 but I have seen others running nittos in that size. If I had the option to go with a nitto, I would have gone 295/70 or 75 because I personally like the narrower tire. But that said, I am happy with the ko2's for now. I could have kept the 35s and added spacers or shims and shackles but just didn't want to do that. I feel like the designers set it up this way for a reason. My opinion obviously.

I hear ya... I was just trying to keep it stock for now. Obviously an aluminum wheel is not the best for serious off road. I found out after the fact that the pro actually has a wheel option for the trd off road wheel that is a 16 inch steel wheel. I forget what they are called. I like the looks of the stock 18 and it will suit my needs for now.

As far as I know, because of the large brake rotors, the smallest wheels we can use on Tundras is 17, (only a few in that size).

I believe the other option is the forged wheels that came on the rock warrior tundras, which is a 17" wheel.

Those look perfect! head on shots you could share? no spacers on wheels? did you air down to off road and if so still no rubbing?

So I'm thinking about running 35x12.5r18 on the stock trd pro wheel and stock suspension, Its 18x8 +60 if I ran a 1.25" spacer it'll push the offset to +28.25 and a 1.5" spacer will make it +21.9. I would like to be able to run the 1.25" but if the only way they'll fit is 1.5" I'll go that route. What size spacer do you think will make it fit?

Is that stock PRO suspension? Or did you do a small lift? Thanks

i'm on a 18x9 rim with a +18 offset. Running 305/60/18's. Will be changing soon. From what I read above, you guys think I can go to a 305/70/18 without additional cutting or rubbing. I have standard Pro set up.

Maybe depending on the tire and alignment.

88Rotors does this set-up all day and daily to fit 35s. Shims up front and shackles in the rear to fit 35’s. Check em out on YouTube if you haven’t seen them yet. Clean work and great examples on how to fit 35s on Tundras.

To make the 305s work, do you HAVE to take off front mudflaps? Or can you leave them on?
