How can I test the knock sensors for good operation? Tundra 2005-2WD, V8
The mechanic said that since we are replacing the timing belt and water pump and other parts it is a good idea to replace the knock sensors. But they are so expensive ($230 ea w/o tax). I think that if they are in good operation status, why to change them? But I have to be sure the sensors are good.
