Discussion in '2nd Gen Tundras (2007-2013)' started by SouthWestGA, Jul 5, 2020.

?

Should the weather strip seal be placed on the shell or on the bed rails?

    Too many…scratch that…not done yet.
I got help to flip mine on its roof. I set some blankets down flat, then put some rolled one ones on the sides to keep it from sitting directly on the center, and keep it from rocking.
I then cleaned it off real good and used the 1 1/2” wide strip. I ran two strips, side by side all the way around.

I just stuck small 2x4 blocks under the corners to get the shell off of the rails 3.5" and worked with it from there.
You want to seal the shell not the rails.
