Well, we got a night of rain here in Dallas last night and it was a beautiful evening yesterday with music on the way home from the gym. That means I left the rear window down and let all the rain in the Tundra...

My advice to Toyota, a window open chime like the door open chime.

Now I am taking my wife's garage spot and have a box fan trying to dry the rear out. Any thoughts on getting behind the rear seats?

4 bolt hold each seat in. They come out pretty easily. I did it the other day installing my rear seat covers.

A few weeks ago I washed my truck with the back window wide open. I have a truck cap on so couldn't see it until I opened the interior door. Rear seats and carpet soaked with soapy, dirty water. Good times.

There’s a sunroof chime. Sadly, no rear window chime. It’s only a matter of time for me. :cookiemonster:

Wow, I had not thought of this.

That sucks a lot, hope you get it dried out and no mold.

I would take seats out, and sub if you have it, maybe even see if you can pull the carpet and sun dry it.

Wet vac could be useful also if you have a lot of water.

Good luck, you got me worried now, but I rarely use the rear window and when I do I roll it up before I park with all the other windows.
I'm kinda OCD about windows, I check them all almost every time I get out of the truck lol.

I have window vent shades, and smoke, so I often have rear driver passenger door window cracked due to the terrible airflow in the Tundra cab with windows down. So I sometimes don't notice its cracked when you get out and lock up.

Also, no matter what I do ashes blow back up into the front onto center console and front passenger seat. With passenger side rear window down, plus driver and driver rear, I get ash sucked right to me the driver, pisses me off lol.

The 4Runner had MUCH better airflow with windows down, anyway, didn't mean to derail!

In warm weather, I keep my sliding rear window open most of the time (and my other windows opened a little bit) even over-night if I don't think it's going to rain, but a few times I was wrong. I keep my rear seats in the up position, so those are the parts that get wet....but they seem to dry out the next day (they never got super-wet). What kind of long-term effect does that have on the upper parts of the seats that get
wet in the back (if it only happens a few times and dries out the next day)? Possible mold? Are they made of foam?
