Hey guys finally found some brand new TRD Pro Fox Suspension. Even had a Toyota dealer install them even though they questioned on how I was able to get such parts.
All warranties still good on both parts and rest of the truck is the only reason I talked to four dealers and finally found one to install them.

That's awesome! Did you find someone who was upgrading their Pros suspension? Or where did you find the Fox TRD Pros?

How’s the ride compared to the 1794. Hoe much did you pay for it.

I'm curious, are the fronts marked for driver side and passenger side on the PRO suspension?

    Hey everyone,

Monday back to the grind. So I was able to get the new TRD PRO suspension installed last Friday and over the weekend we took the truck on about 250 mile drive over the hills to the coast. Saturday from Davenport to Santa Cruz and Sunday across the golden gate to point arena lighthouse and down highway 1.

To answer some of the questions yes the ride seemed was different then the stock TRD off-road shocks. One the front of the truck is sitting about 2in taller level with he rear. This can feel center of gravity had changed a little. Not bad. I will post some before and after measurements. The ride seemed to be just a little stiffer however you can actually feel the shocks working talking up all the road bumps and not transferring them into the cab as much as one would think. When we did get some rough road 3in rocks, water and mud holes the truck was able to hit them pretty hard and fast without us feeling it inside the cab as much as we should of. Was very happy with the results. One thing i say is that it kind of like floating on a cloud.

Driving the truck now since i have full RCI skids under the entire bottom of the truck, the truck is sitting taller now and with these FOX shocks now I’m not to concern with shaking the truck apart screwing around off road now. Oh Ya CA roads suck so it does help around town as well.

So to answer the other question on how i got the shocks. I got them directly from a Toyota dealership back east in a small town. The family owned dealerships are hurting sad to say because of this Covid shit. Was able to pick everything up and shipped to Ca for about $2600 with included shipping. All brand new parts in unopened packages. My advice is to just start calling these dealerships in small town America and work a deal.

So Jimboslice413 ask it the shocks are marked left and right. Yes believe so. If you look at the pics of the shocks on the truck you can see that the spring itself is marked with a (L) and a (R) each one of those letters seems to have to line up with the notch out in the top portion of the spring perch.

Oh by the way I also have the rear TRD Sway bar installed. I love that thing because you can really hug the corners with it and roll the truck. I have seen other post about taking it off when you have the PRO suspension because your limiting the rear shocks. My thought and feeling is that it still felt great with the new shocks. And unless your really going to hammer big time on the truck like CHUGS awesome clip up top i think you wouldn’t even noticed the difference to much.

Oh ya i did noticed that while driving more then a few cars would see that big ass chrome grill in their mirror and pull over off the road to let me pass. Must be its sitting up taller and that’s all they can see in their mirror now. HA HA HA

Nice pick up... but for $2600, I rather go with aftermarket like KING or Icon.

I was one of the ones that put a sway bar on my Pro. I liked it, for a while. One day I got bored and removed the bolt that connects the end link to the bar, just to disable it and compare the ride. It's night and day. It handled well in the corners, but it completely kills the smooth ride of the Pro suspension.

To 2019 1794 yes I had the dealer install. Why because since I actually purchased the shocks from the dealer and had them install them all my warranties and extended warranties for the truck and parts have a paper trail.
I was going to do myself but kind of just wanted them on.

Yes I know I could of purchased aftermarket ones. I kind of wanted to keep everything stock and didn’t want to change upper control arms. I’m not worried and not being able to adjust them because I probably wouldn’t anyhow. I also called FOX themselves and talked to them about the shocks. They even said for what I want out of the truck and to have less issues possibly that the TRD shocks are great.

So 19TRDPRO cool so you were able to experience the PRO suspension with and without the rear sway bar? Did you buy the truck with the sway-bar on it and then take it off? Where did you see the majority of the difference? On the pavement or just on the dirt? Thanks

Prior to my Pro I had a 15 SR5, so I was able to tell the difference right away. The Pro had more lean in the corners, but was many times smoother on the pavement and off road. It was the pavement that sold me on the Pro. I had it for a while without the sway bar, then decided that since I spend 99% of my time on pavement that I should tune the ride for it. I put the bar on and was immediately impressed with how well it handled the corners. I never really thought it took much away from the ride quality until I disabled it after having it a few months.

Big differences on both pavement and dirt. Smaller bumps like potholes and train crossings became more jarring. Off road on logging and forest roads were brutal. The Pro suspension really shines off road. I can fly over unmaintained forest and logging roads at 30mph. If I did that with the bar on, I'd need back surgery.

The cons of blasting down forest roads.......you might shoot a stick thru your newly replaced bumper....

Thanks for the info and the story. Aww that sucks about your bumper, glad it wasn’t your tank.
I think I’ll try it on for a while then disable like you just to see the difference.
The wife has a bad back so I kind of like it for the corners so the passengers don’t get thrown around as much.
So you saying both on the pavement and dirt the suspension alone takes up a lot more of the pot holes and dips, without it?
How bad is the truck in the corners or when it’s windy?

Yes. Minor bumps on road are more pronounced.
Corners without, it leans pretty hard and I can't take them nearly as fast. I don't notice a difference in the wind.
