6112 Install mishap

While researching the install i came across the Falcon shock install. I tried the way they did it with remove upper control arm. I now know this is wrong! So i slipped to cv joint going into the transfer case. So i had to pull the boot since i pulled past the retaining clip. I put the retaining clip back in re aligned the ball bearings and re packed. Question is what else is in there that i should be concerned with? Thanks in advance
