Last weekend I parked my 2016 Tundra at a buddies house in Denver (1st & Monaco area) while we floated and fished the Eagle River near Edwards. Returned to his house on Sunday to discover this...IMG_0539.jpg
    IMG_0540.jpg

Police dude was surprised that the "rat bastard or dumb fuck" (my term) attempted to JACK a Tundra. He said he's never seen or heard of a Tundra being stolen in Denver. BTW He said the most popular truck stolen in the area is the 2001-2009 Super Duty. Police dude said they probably got in by prying the door some and inserting an inflation device so they can reach the locks.
I couldn't get it started so I had it towed to Stevenson Toyota so they can replace the ignition and the plastic work. Estimate to fix is $2,250. WHAT?!? Still waiting on insurance for authorization. So in the mean time I've been driving my wife's 15 passenger Ford Transit! :(

Sucks but glad your truck didn't get jacked. Anything else get stolen?

Hear quite a few stories of 7.3 super duties and Jeeps getting taken here in SD. They're usually over the border before you call the police.

They stole a small sub I built, my work badge, some change and a pair of shitty Costco sunglasses. They rummaged through the center console but didn't take my knife and Leatherman. Didn't go through my storage under the seat in the back, guess they didn't know about it. Twats also removed the plastic dividers in the glove box and opened the access door to the cabin filter. Guess they were looking for my stash. Anyone with a brain cell knows a G19 don't fit in there!

You can thank Toyota for still keeping the Tundra a chipped/keyed ignition.

    Stay classy Colorado.

I quit a job and had my desk shit, like a picture of my kid and some IT books, and my Titanium Spork, all in a box that I left in the back of my truck for 10 minutes. Some jackass took it. WTH, enjoy the books and kid pics? The loss of the Spork irritated me more than anything.

The Eagle has great fish, lots of private water so not a lot of pressure. Strange that it was ON about 2:00PM with big stones and streamers. Here's one of my buddies fish (it was a double with the Brown head!)

Is that something they do with the newer tundras. That doesn t sound like something my 2007 has.
