I'm about 900 miles into a 1200 mile trip. The Tundra has been running fine the whole way. After a short rest stop today, I got back on the interstate and noticed that my CEL and traction lights were on. I had my code reader in the truck, so I stopped again and got a P0174 from it. I don't think that accounts for the traction light though. I was thinking of the AIPs but most people I see include 4LO coming on - I'm not sure what the indicator in a 2wd is. It also didn't feel like it was limping at all, I had to continue another hour and was able to go 70 the whole way. Didn't notice anything else abnormal.

Thoughts? I checked the gas cap, though it happened 200 miles after filling up. The air filter (AFE) has been on it for under 2000 miles. MAF and throttle body were cleaned then too.

I filled up on gas at 1/4 tank, and calculated it got 18.15 mpg today. Seems to be running fine. Stopped and had the battery tested, also good.

Watching it while driving today. Seems fine except one O2 isn't reading anything. Truck is driving well. I put Seafoam in the full gas tank this morning and cleared the code. CEL turned off, traction stayed on, and reader is showing a permanent P0174.

I believe the Trac system is disabled when you get a check engine light that is why the light comes on. Did you use the correct cleaner for the MAF and Throttle body? The cleaner if not correct could harm the O2 sensors. The code states 1) Intake air leaks, 2) Faulty front heated O2 sensor. There are other possibilities, but I would suspect a bad O2 sensor. Fix the problem and the trac light should go away.

Yeah, I've got the correct cleaners for each. As it turned out, after another stop the code completely cleared and the traction light turned off. Was fine for another 250 miles and did over 19mpg. I'm betting on a sensor as well, and also thinking fuel pump. I've had a recurring sluggishness from it that Seafoam seems to knock out. From other threads here I've considered the pump, and wonder if this was it starting to get worse.

Ran fine today, though a few spots (mostly uphill) felt sluggish. The codes have not come back. Ill keep reading up on the fuel pump, it seems to fit. Not against O2 as well.
