4lo is having issues, 4hi works fine, put it in neutral and sometimes 4lo engages sometimes it doesn’t it just beeps. The times it does engage it doesn’t want to get out of 4lo, sometimes it works fine. But it happens more now when it used to work fine no problems, truck has 85,962 miles. Dealer wants $125 just to look into the problem. Do I just pay them that and see what they find or should I get an extended warranty first because I’m assuming 4wd issues will be expensive. What do y’all suggest or have any of you had similar problems and found a fix? Does warranty cover 4wd problems?

Are you stopped? There are instruction (or should be) in your visor. There are specific steps you must take

@T-Rex266, yes I stop, put it in neutral after 4hi then switch. I’m faithful in the 10 miles a month in 4wd recommendation in the owners manual so I use my 4wd a lot.
