I've researched this and think the OEM is the best oil for the job. Would like to find a better price then $80 LOL. I don't think Revenol MTF-3 is the best option do to the low numbers of magnesium, phosphorus, zinc.

Amsoil addresses the magnesium, phosphorus, zinc numbers at link in old flat-tappet camshafts engines and recommends high levels do to high contact pressures. For brake in they like high numbers 2000ppm like OEM Toyota then after brake in drop it to about half that. Revenol MTF-3 is coming up short with the additives and probably would require more frequent changes my thinking.

    Not many yet, mostly stock.
Without you giving up many details on what your working on, it’s hard to say. If your talking engine oil, Amsoil is a good one. personally I use Mobile1 0-20 synthetic. If your talking gear oil, I haven’t changed it yet. My truck is still newish
    good luck sir.

I just put some Ravenol in my T case at 30k miles. My case sees a hand full of miles per year, mostly just to activate the 4wd every now and then

If you're that concerned though, you should really just buy the Toyota stuff. Otherwise you will always be worrying if the fluid you went with is good enough. Me, I don't worry.

I'd agree with Stig. You seem to be very concerned. Just pay Toyota and you'll have your peace of mind. But like Stig, I have the Ravenol in mine. Not a lot of miles (under 7,500/year) as it's my hunting/camping rig, not a daily. But even if I did drive more, I'd be a little surprised if OEM vs Ravenol is going to make that much of a difference.
