Have a 2011 Tundra. I run my headlights all the time, even in daylight, hoping some idiot will see me and not slam the door in an intersection. I have the instrument panel up to it;s brightest, but it still thinks it is night time if I have the lights on, and the panel is dimmer than if my lights are off. The panel can be hard to read then, specially on bright days. Any way to increase panel brightness?

This may be challenging, without an upgrade to LED lighting, draw back to this the dash may be super bright all the time. Since your panel dims when your lights are turned on and your dim switch is all the way up, don't think there is any other way about it. Those things are super bright at night as they are, I have them at the lowest possible setting, a sniff away from off.

If your truck has the "Auto" feature for turning the lights on, the dash lights might be dimmed by the sensor on the dash near the windshield. A piece of Painters tape might help?

It does not have the auto Lights, other than the fact it will shut the lights off about two minutes after removing the key. It is just that some of the panel (radio, clock etc) is not visible when I have the lights on during the day. Not fun having to take my dark glasses off during the day to see what time it is.
