Did you use a foam cannon?? if so which one? I've tried a couple on Amazon, and they don't work at all... maybe its the soap i'm using? Thanks!

I believe i used Mr. Pink from chemical guys. I tried the Matcc, but the bottle leaked, and I got no foam really. Maybe I didn't use it correctly.

That soap should work, my bottle leaks a little. Do you fill it with hot water then a little soap?

One weird thing about those foam cannons is you have to turn the dial toward the negative sign to get more foam. Seems like it’d be the opposite. Don’t know if that was your issue though.

I like that look. Not too shiny. I'm looking forward to using that same stuff (hopefully this weekend) as mine arrive the other day, too. Today's a wet day. Truck is all full of pollen and needs a wash.

You can add additional coats for more gloss, but even then it’s not overboard. Some people like the really shiny look, so I keep some Meguair’s Endurance Gel on hand.

I’ve honestly not used any of their stuff. When I was starting out I kept reading to steer clear of them, so I never bothered.

Yup. I haven't used that stuff in a minimum of 20 years. Of course, I had a string of vehicles I really didn't care too much about... lol.

Not a clue on that one. IronX will maybe lighten it a little. I know it causes some to run off when you get it on a rock chip. Wet sanding and some touch up paint is all I’d know to try.

People who didn't read the detailing section of this site use it. You know, people who still have money in their pockets but have lousy looking tires.

I have been using P&S brake buster and a soft-ish brush. No issues thus far.

That’s what I’d recommend. It’s not a harsh chemical and should be safe for anything.

Previous posts of using Iron-x motivated me on Tuesday to decontaminate with Iron-x, rinse, clay, compound and polish with the G9, wash, apply Hydro 2 and rinse, dry with Beadmaker, apply optimum to tires, and finally, reinstall my predator steps that I refinished with Herculiner on top of Corothane because of chipped powdercoating. Phew... longggg day right there!

Got my trim sheid in today. How should I prep the surfaces if trim is new and looks good? How about if it’s faded and looks bad?

Just clean it well. If it’s faded and looks bad it will take a few coats. I go with Solution Finish in those cases since it takes a lot less to restore it and is cheaper.
Trim Shield is outstanding, but I don’t usually recommend it on severely faded trim due to cost. It will restore it, but it’s not cost effective. Trim Shield is perfect for trim that still looks decent. If anything I’d restore it with Solution Finish, then follow up with Trim Shield to keep it looking that way.

Perfect. I have both so that will work. I applied trim shield on my tundra last night and the stuff is amazing. I plan on taking my spiked punch on my road trip to clean the ride. I need to order some small travel spray bottles.
