Truck is paid off. Time for some improvements:
    I don't tow anything heavy (3000 max). I don't haul heavy loads.

Looking for a more compliant ride (eliminate the sharp bumps like the TRD Pro or my stock land cruiser--love the KDSS) but something that will still corner semi-flat.

    Thoughts?

off road a lot ? high speed desert racing ?
ADS shocks are nice too, Toytec, Elka, OME..plenty of options without going full blown race truck.

Forest service roads and occasional light off roading. But, mainly Looking for a ride similar to the LC. It doesn’t even flinch at speed bumps or pot holes or sh!tty paved roads. The Stock Tundra platinum lets me know about every imperfection, just fairly crude (more likely just set up more for a haevy cargo load). The LC Absorbs them nicely. It’s a stock 200 series.

I'm strongly considering Falcons for mine. They sound just about right for dealing with the terrible roads we have up here, occasional towing and maybe some easy off roading once in a while.

The LC and Tundra might share drivetrains but the build quality is on another level. There's a reason the base LC costs 3x that of the base Tundra.

Upgrading suspension can improve the ride but I don't think it will ever ride like a LC

I like the ICON stage 10. I’d say maybe you feel more small bumps driving down the road. But the big hits are glorious! I keep it pretty soft so there’s quite a bit of body roll with only the factory front sway bar. Kings were on the list but I couldn’t find enough info or locate all the parts I wanted.
Some have had issues with the ICONs leaking but I’ve not had any issues with roughly 5k miles on them. I keep them clean though so that may help.

Get Kings. There’s a reason they’re the Ferrari of shocks.

I went with Falcons, people that have them have been very pleased. Brother in law is borrowing my jack, but once I get it back I will be installing mine. The finish and craftsmanship on them are awesome though. Impressed so far.

I like my kings, over 50k miles no problems, plush on the road and smooth high speed off-road.

I noticed a huge improvement in ride quality with bypass rear shocks. Might seem like they're only for off road but I'll never run a smooth body on a truck again, not even a 2wd work truck. Just my .o2

Thanks, I went with the 2.5 front and rear, its pretty much stock how it comes from king which is about a 2 inch lift like the trd pro tundras. I cranked the passenger side a little bit so it sits level, I love it. Almost 3 years no problems, probably gonna rebuild them soon.

You running 20" wheels on the tundra? And what size wheels on the LC? Wheel size can make a huge difference in ride quality. Also check the air pressure in both rigs. This can make a world of difference too.

First thing I did was pull off the 20" wheels. I don't like the look or the capability off 20" rims.

My tire pressure is always on spec--If I put new tire or wheels on a vehicle, I research proper pressure to get it right..

I have two sets of 18" BBS TRD Pro wheels; one with the Dunlop grand trek from the LC and one set with Michelin Defender LTX. And one set of 17" Rock Warriors (with BFG KO2). All at recommended tire pressure for the vehicle. I've swapped the combos between the two vehicle and the BFG is the firmest ride. But there is a significant difference in the ride quality. The LC ride is much, much better and more beastly. Trying to get there with the Tundra. Now looking at OME BP51 (Recommended by Eric Sarjeant at a huge volume Land Cruiser dealer in US and Toyota Dealer who specializes in new vehicle off-road customization on the IH8Mud forum (mostly a LC forum)).
