Question for those who have used 'Salt Away' or similar products

The family and I just returned from the Outer Banks and unfortunately I had to drive thru some standing water. Pretty sure it was salt water or at least some salt water mixed in. It was either drive thru it or not go to our rental house. I pressure washed the undercarriage while at the beach and did a more thorough job this morning while at home. I also ordered one of those pressure washer attachment undercarraige cleaners and some salt away.

Regarding the salt away, once diluted- is it safe to spray on everything? I washed the truck today so I wont be spraying on the paint obviously but probably on everything underneath and on some of the lower engine components. Hoses, electrical connections, etc?

 

Yes it is.

 

Do you use it a lot?

 

I go through about 4-5 gallons per year. I'll take the engine cowling off my outboard and spray the engine and everything down, then coat with CorrosionX afterwards. Also use it on the boat, rods, reels and and occasionally the rear 20% or so of my undercarriage.

Nothing harsh in it.
