Hello first time poster and I am cheating a little as I have a 2012 Sequoia but I see a lot more information on the Tundra forums and posts. Well I started with a simple rotor brake job on the front but after more shuttering things got interesting. Looking at these forums I ordered some powerstop which Iam installting but also saw maybe it could be bearings. figured I have 106K so might as well do it. The youtube posts did not look to bad. Those are the famous last words!! That bearing assembly does not come off easy. First tried the banging around the permitere then saw one guy hit the axle end with nut on. That's where it got interesting as I hit the axle end with nut on but the nut was not flush and it messed up my threads. Toto we aren't in Kansas anymore!! The nut went on but it was tight and I notice that the wheel bearing assembly was not taught to the axle. So I backed the nut off and noticed some stripping. Decided to just replace the axle. That did not look bad on youtube either and proved to go more like the youtube says than the stupid wheel bearing assembly. Well now its all back together and that darn axle still is not taught to the wheel bearing assembly like the other side. Now some youtuber says axle can be slightly different and maybe its just a dust cover missing. Since this job just seems to be getting worse and spending more money and more tools and I have not SUV for putting the boat in the water this weekend, I figured I better see what you think and see pictures attached. The new one is not as flush on that outer rim but maybe it is sealed on the inside?

Please excuse some of my typos as this is my second time posting this as the first one I went to a media link to post my pictures and it wiped out my post. Like I said not in Kansas anymore!!
