What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

What has everyone done with the parts swapped out on your Tundras. I have the silver radio trim and some AJT parts I did not install an old tonneau cover from my previous tundra. I hate trying to sell stuff.

 

I usually donate to fellow Louisiana tundra owners mostly the AJT stuff. lol. but really, if simple and they're close...i'll give it to people

 

I drove many dirt roads this weekend and it worked to keep the dust out. I also did the tailgate seal and plugged the unused mounting holes.

 

I just went out to look at my 2020 DC SR5 and it has tow hooks on it.

 

Swapped out my chrome LED fog lights, for the black led fog lights.

Thinking about doing that and while I'm at it, paint the TRD on the center caps red as well.

Did a little update to my AJT Fob. Did not like how you could not see the letters . Filled them in with a little nail polish . Once it drys I used nail polish remover to lightly remove the top layers. It leaves the polish in the letters nice and crisp

 

My 2020 SR5 has the tow hooks. I think they are standard if you have a 4x4

 

My 2017 SR5 2wd came with tow hooks.

 

New grille & bumper .. AWAY WITH THE CHROME

 

My understanding was that they come with 4WD, not just TRD. Which is kind of silly, because 2WD would also need it; maybe more than 4WD.

 

Nice mods! I'm looking into redoing the leather on my consol lid too, where did you buy the lesther cover replacement? Was the install difficult?

 

my thoughts too. but my 2011 SR5 2wd came with them. and so did my 2017 SR5 4wd. Someone jacked them i'm thinkin. once you look at the tow hooks location, you should be able to see if they had them at one point cuz they're tightened down pretty tight. You would think you'd be able to see some kind of marking showing something was there at some point. I've known dealers to have issues with people walking up and stealing pieces that aren't locked inside the truck like that as well as screw on antennae and similar

How do you like your 450?

 

Today I wanted to neuter cigarettes forever in my truck. I changed out three of my four cigarette lighters for Blue Sea 4.8 amp USB ports. I changed out the two in the front, and the one inside of the center console. Since I have a double USB port in the back right under that cigarette lighter, I left that one in-place.

Good thing I left the rear lighter in, because I went ahead and put in the wireless charger center console insert. It works with the red and black inserts I got going too


Lastly I went ahead and replaced the stainless steel thumbscrews for the dash plate and molle bridge panels with black ones to start my disposal of lame chrome and shiny things.

At this rate I'll have to type up a build thread.

 

Just got the bed sprayed today.
Went with the LineX premium
