Thirteenth Mod - Turn Up The Bass

I figured as today is Friday, putting up my thirteenth mod was fitting... and what better mod to post up about other than the dual exhaust? While I realize there are more than a handful of options in this realm, it was fairly quick and easy for me to decide. It really only came down to the TRD vs the aFe. They both sounded close enough however I liked the rounded tips better than the slightly oval shaped tips of the TRD... AND... these tips were already blacked out, which made my choice all the easier as I also painted the pipe black to keep the theme colors similar even underneath the truck. Go, go OCD powers away!!!

Maybe I'll try to put up a video clip of the sound in addition to the photos here. We'll see if I get the chance! (The suspense!!)

    Nice build!

What hi-heat paint did you use? I need to paint the tips on my Z4.

Fourteenth Mod - And @mattgecko Said, "Let There Be Light"...

and there was light! Today's mod seems fitting to go out of order as Matt has visited the site as of late.

As mentioned in other posts, I've used Matts light system in my Tacoma and now have it in the Tundra as well. Primarily loved it for the way it just compliments the bed rails without being in the way of any loads I carry. When out camping especially, this gets used ALL the time. It allows the kids to play in the back of the bed up off the ground, I can find all my gear really easily, and even just out around the house after running to get groceries, I can find that jar that always seems to roll away.

I've had just the toggle switch in my Tacoma but opt'd for the remote version for the Tundra. (Bigger truck, bigger toy) The remote option still includes the push toggle, so it just freed up some ease of use. I've had to switch on the bed lights while camping once to help guide myself towards the truck. That was a fun night!

I'll try and add a photo of how the bed lights up with just the truck bed light, vs turning on this system for comparison also.

Fifteenth Mod - Always Use Protection

Busy day today at work so this is a small update, nothing exciting. OEM Door-sill protectors. Came down again to both appearance and function. Kids and dogs climbing in and out of the back seat so I wanted to add some protection over the painted sides, and well since the rear got done, I had to do the fronts as well.

    Cooler updates coming soon!!

Sixteenth Mod - New Set of Chiclets!

Changing out the grille reminded me of the day my braces came off.

While a bunch of us on here seem to have really taken to the heritage grille, around where I live, I see a fair amount of Tundras (I live near the two Canadian plants - Corolla and Rav4) there are not as many of these grilles. So I get to stand out among the crowd. I'd personally like to see more of then however, so all them Ford and Chevy people know a Toyota is coming down the road. Being able to remove the chrome front and then add the throw back feel is great.

I had to get it paint matched through my body shop, but that seemed easy enough for them to do. They were happy to take my $300.

Completing this task on my own (with some guidance of the forum) made my heart grow two sizes that day. Few screws, a couple bolts and voila!!

    IMG_20160902_004532.jpgIMG_20160905_091337.jpgIMG_20160905_093715.jpg

For reading this far, here is some bonus posting! :yay:
I'll include in this single post the pictures of the chrome delete, plasti dip addition of the front and rear bumper caps. Enjoy!!

    Seventeenth Mod - STICKERS!!!

Who the hell doesn't like stickers?! If you don't, we need to talk. I had these made for me by @ruggedT - I believe he frequents TacomaWorld.com more often than here, but he is worth his weight in gold. I've had him also make decals for me when I had my Tacoma... and I'll be employing him once we have our 4Runner and decide what we want on it.
The two fel hound pups have yet to be put on as I didn't have time when I began the placement and then the weather has been shit ever since.

Included also is the hood plastidip I did to black it out. Provides some nice sun glare reduction and I like how it looks.

    IMG_20160928_134204.jpgIMG_20161005_103307.jpgIMG_20161008_172822.jpgIMG_20161008_172929.jpg

To keep to the sticker theme, I also had purchased radio inserts from @rrentrop - this guy is a perfectionist. The size of my lettering was a TAD short, and he pulled his product off his online site and corrected the issue right away. I feel like it looks as if they were there all along. Something Toyota should have done. IMO.

Dude, I placed my Tundra's First window decal yesterday. Wife ask if i was suffering from sticker withdrawal. My recently past '98 GMC Z71 topper glass was full of decals.

    Awesome Look Krezz!!!!

    Eighteenth Mod - Monster Chasers

If you've seen the movie The Mist this is what I always think of when driving through some fog patches and using my fog lights as such... yes I know... I have one heck of an imagination. Keeps the driving fun.
Pretty much all my lights have been upgraded to LEDs, so the next few mods will tackle such. Enjoy!!!!

The lights are surrounded by Ridgid mounts.

Nineteenth Mod - What's Inside Is What Matters...

Everyone is so quick to judge you by the way your truck looks like from the OUTSIDE, but if they would only take the time to see what is really going on inside. They'd see that I'm bright and clean and just have a lot of empty space. LED interior lights make all the difference! Get it done!
