As some have already explained, yes claying takes junk out of the paint to leave a smooth surface. It's pretty amazing honestly... Can be tricky. Correcting is the next step which is polishing any swirls, marring etc. out of the paint. Sealing is just that, seals the paint to keep the junk from getting back in there and protects from UV light and stuff...

Always good practice to decontaminate the paint before adding a nice wax/sealant. I am no where near as experienced as most of these detailing folks, I know just enough to get me in trouble, and just enough to keep me out of trouble... And yes check the detailing forum, but be careful, it does get confusing... There is also Autogeek.com and autopia.com that are some GREAT detailing forums if you REALLY want to dive into this

Theres plenty of room near the gas tank, no problems. The only issue was on the passenger side the last 2 bolts didn't line up exactly but the old pipe stretcher fixed that. Total mount time was about 40min, mostly due to unpacking and grabbing an 11mm (unbolting the factor ones) and a 13mm socket to install.

dang....i think we're still around $2.50/gal for 87....my baby only deserves the best 91 that costco has to offer. lol.

 

Sealed the front bed seam and some factory mounting holes with RTV black silicone. Trying to keep dust and water out on dirt roads .

Got my CVT installed on my new crossbars and set it up for the first time. This thing is fun. It feels like I’m in a tree fort! I’m super stoked.

 

Had my brand new 40” Baja Designs S8 light bar stolen off my roof rack

No pic, but installed a carrier bearing drop kit from @Coachbuilder1 (thanks David!). Literally took 5 minutes: loosened it off and did one side at a time with a bit of blue locktite.

I only have an Icon add-a-leaf and Elkas, but being a pokey driver I noticed a subtle driveline vibration on slow speed takeoffs. Not sure yet if it's gone, but the test drive felt good.
