Confusing issue with ball joints

Well, I was asking some questions about the 2019 Tundra I just bought (11k miles) and Tundyfundy noticed one of by ball joints was leaking. All I really know is that the previous owner put some 5100's on it and got an alignment done. I was looking around this evening and I see grease possibly "leaking" out of both ball joints and also the tie rod ends. How is this possible? Do you think someone greased these parts when they were installing the 5100's? What explanations and what steps would I take to find out if I have any issues.

When I have been researching this I see that the UCA's in Tundras are a "relatively weak" point in these trucks. Should I just buy some JBA upper control arms and move on with my life?

My first thought is that someone sprayed some sort of liquid wrench type of thing to help break the nuts loose. Leaking anything sucks.

 

It could be they lubricated the tie rod and upper ball just to separate them for the shock install. The last time I put on 5100’s, I had to separate the upper ball and tie rod to lean the knuckle out of the way.

 

Ah ok, you might be on to something. Maybe I should try to clean them off and see if I get anything new coming out of them.

Does this mean I don't need the JBA's?

 

If the ball Joint was leaking, you would see a heavier grease on the tie rod and bottom of the ball joints.To me, it looks like they are fine. I don’t see the ball joint rubber collapsed which would mean they have leaked all the grease.
I’m with BLONTX that they just sprayed the nuts with PB Blaster or something.
No need to change anything
