I want to add TPMS to my 5th wheel. I would like to have a system that monitors truck and RV. Tuson Trailer Tire Pressure Monitor is a system than can monitor 10 valve stem monitors. I like them because they mount inside the tire. I have a 2016 Tundra Pro Double cab with the original TPMS equipment. Has anyone removed the OEM TPMS valve stems and used another system? How is the OEM system disabled so as not to alarm? Here is the link to the TPMS system under consideration: https://store.mrtruck.com/product-p/tuson-tire-6-and-4-new.htm
    I appreciate any information.

1st, I would ask the manufacturer of the system you are looking to buy, if it will read and monitor your oem sensors in the Tundra wheels. If it will, then you only have to get the sensors for the 5th wheel. This way, you don't have to do anything with the factory TPMS system, you will have both systems monitoring the truck sensors. If the aftermarket system will not read the oem sensors, and you have to replace them with the aftermarket ones, it is possible the oem TPMS system can be re-programed to read them. Again, no need to disable the oem system, just use both. If neither option will work, then do a search on TPMS on this site, there are several threads with various ways to disable the oem TPMS system.

After more research yesterday, I ordered the TPMS system from Tuson. I also ordered replacement sensors for the Tundra. I'll post the outcome once completed.
