Should I replace brakes?

I’m not a mechanic and I was wondering if the brakes needed some attention. First photo is passenger front, second is driver side front. Any advice would be great. Thanks

 

Yup, you’re due for pads ASAP. Due to the uneven wear, the calipers should be checked for sticking piston(s) and make sure the pads are sliding freely on their pins.

Just replaced my pads with OEM’s rotors were still in great shape, and my pads were all worn evenly... landphil is right about the calipers?

 

Clean the pins with a wire brush before putting it back together. Some sets of pads do come with new pins though.

 

If the truck has some miles on it, change the brake fluid. keep bleeding until it is clear. Brake fluid absorbs moisture. Moisture causes rust inside the calipers. Bleeding your brakes now may save you from getting new calipers in the future especially if the truck isn't driven much or used for short trip where the brakes do not get hot.

 

That uneven wear is troublesome. I’d say overhaul the calipers. They look like they need a deep clean as some have said. I’ve never done it but I thought you could lube those pins somehow. Also of course new pads all the way around. Have the rotors checked. Especially the sides with the thin pads.
