    I didn’t want to put the canoe on the roof, but this is ridiculous.

    That ain't gonna work. To be honest, I don't think any canoe is a good idea to hang out the back like that and secure via the thwarts and seat bars.

    Roof rack it is, especially with a truck box. You probably only have 2-3' of bed space
