Front making squeaking noise when hitting small bumps

hello everyone i am a first timer here never post on toyota thread. The question or concern I have is that my truck is making squeaky noise when hitting small bumps coming from the driver side and possibly the passenger side too. I have purchased this tuck about 3 months ago its a 2016 4*2 SR5 DBL CAB 4.6L V8 and has 22'' black Fuel Rims with Nitto Terra Grappler G2 285/45R22 tires. Wanted some feed back from y'all. 57000 miles thanks you

Your shock absorbers up front could be going bad. My old 4runner would do that when I would go over stuff with a little speed...sounded like a metal chaffing sound but very quickly.

 

Iam wondering if the shock absorbers would be covered under 60000 mile warrenty.

 

How miles do you have on your truck

 

Typically a squeaking noise would be from bad bushings or metal on metal contact.
Most common squeaking noises I’ve seen have been the lower control arm bushings. But it could be a bad shock bushing. Also could be dried out sway bar bushings.

 

Thanks for the feedback is that repair expensive can I lube it up or something. Any ideals I did try to move the truck up and down to hear anything but got no squeaking.

 

I would like to add, the more I listen to the squeaking it sounds like it is coming from the back of the truck. What are your thoughts?

 

Spare tire not "tight" enough?

 

Did not think about that, will tighten any loose screws.

 

I want to thankyou for the advice. I went underneathe and adjust the holding bracket centered right at the spare tire and that is where the squeaking was coming from. Thanks again.

 

Woohoo! I'm glad it helped! I had a similar issue and my wife suggested the spare tire...ha! Glad you found the issue!

 

I had that squeak too and it drove me nuts. I dropped my spare to do my suspension install and no more squeak. I'm not putting the spare back up.
