I have a full aftermarket fuel system on my tundra. I am wanting to wire my truck to prime the fuel lines prior to cranking.
There are a couple ways to do this, but the easiest would be to have the pump turn on with the key in the on position just prior to cranking. I know the fuel pump is controlled by a fuel pump control module, which receives signals from the ecu. Wiring this way would essentially bypass the module ground switching and the pump would see 12-14 volts at all times.
Since I do not know what information the ecu is sending the module, and I don’t have a way to test the voltage during normal operation, does anyone know if there are any negative effects to doing this?
