Hey everyone. New member here and first time Tundra owner. I bought a Black 2020 Crewmax SR5 with TRD OD package back in November and looking to do some mods. Here is what I have so far:

Suspension: 7" BDS lift kit (with or without coil overs ???)
    Wheels: 22" X 12"-44 (Brand/model TBD)
Tires: 325/50r22 Nitto Ridge Grapplers (or 35x12.5r22 ???)
    Exhaust: Carven catback

What do you guys think about this set up so far?

This is not a work truck and wont see much serious off-roading or heavy hauling. Mostly pavement driving with the occasionally weekend project and short camping trip.

I'm sure I'll have a ton more questions but this is just a quick snap shot of the direction I want to go. Any input or recommendations would be great. Thanks!

    And I would suggest BAMuffler!

Hope that offset doesn't send rocks up the side of your paint.

Well you asked for it so I will tell you! I would not like that setup for myself. You might think it will look great. Huge offset on those wheels. They are going to poke out a mile. Street machine.

No problem brother, to each his own! I realize that look isn’t the most popular. I was gonna go with the same look that everyone else goes with (leveled, thicker side wall tires, chrome delete, lights, milled black wheels, etc.). But kinda want to go with something a little different. In my opinion a 22x12 -44 on 35’s look amazing on these truck. Something like a 24x14 -76 is pretty obnoxious IMO but the others are just right.

7"? Go 37 tires and rear gear 5.29. then consider 22" or 24" rims. Go big or go home. 35s will look off with that much lift. IMO

I think most people on here will steer you towards BAmufflers, pretty well 100% satisfaction rate around these parts. I have a murdered out truck myself and am starting to appreciate a little mix in colours...my truck is one in a sea of blacked out trucks, so I get it. I do agree that 35" will look small

I would probably want to regear at 35 inch tires or larger.....will drive much better.

Pretty much everything I’ve seen says 35’s and under run fine with the factory gears. Which is why I didn’t want to go with 37’s. Can anybody confirm?

Those trucks look to be running a 14” wide with a -76(ish) offset. I wouldn’t run that wide because it stretches the tire to much and you don’t get any sidewall protection. Looks pretty dumb IMO. Not a fan of that aggressive of an offset.

Thanks! I’ll have to check out those mufflers. I agree, trying to stay away from the murdered out look. I guess I wanted to go with 35’s because 33’s look WAY to small and the 37’s are a little to big for my taste, plus I think I’d have to re-gear. The 325/50r22 ridges look perfect on our trucks with a 22”x12” IMO.

I'm no expert as I have stock sized tires right now, but the stock 4.30 rear end may be your friend going to 35"

You can run them without, but it is better to reargear with that much additional weight.
