Need some help finding black mirror caps and black grill for truck pictured below. Have already plastidipped the ones that are on it and they go to shit fast. Do these factory parts exist?
Sorry it’s bug season down here. 8BE2A392-8827-4A83-A8B0-58ADC4C79A07.jpg731C3C84-D52C-4B80-8483-947BD5A989B6.jpg

Strip the shit plasti-coat off and spray those items with an Acrylic Enamel from Dupli-Color. Proper prep is key. Should last a lifetime. I’ve done my side caps and a few other items in matching 1D6 Silver on my truck. I’ve used the Toyota Dupli-Color Black on other items. Autozoned carries the Toy Black on the shelf at my local. Nice durable finish. Goes on well.

Lightly sand and then wipe with denatured alcohol. No need for primer if using Lacquer Acrylic Enamel. I’ve done my mirror caps and front grill trim with another brand and also my wheels with Duplicolor. Dries fast. Do multiple light coats.

Love bugs in FLA are the worst...

Upon reflection, grasshoppers in KS are the worst. But love bugs close second...

Will update my post if I ever splatter one on my windshield or pry one out of the radiator fins. Until then, I stand by my statement...;)

I've got an '05 double cab with the hideous chrome mirror caps, really wanting to paint them black. Do they just pop off or would it be easier to paint them still on?

The caps pop off with a spugder tool which you can potentially wedge around the mirror glass, and it's doable without breaking the clips, although not super easy.

I want to say it was @The Black Mamba who did it most recently and might've posted pics. On a white truck, I'd paint match to get the Limited look. White trucks with chrome everywhere look a little bobo with all-black mirrors.

I've done it twice, but don't have pics of the process. @JakeJake does here https://www.tundras.com/threads/wha...-gen-tundra-today.2558/page-1915#post-3521012
