With that kind of warranty, yes I would try it out.

Not in a tundra, but I'll take that car as my DD and save miles on the truck

Who drives 60,000 miles per year? That's a lot of marketing fluff....

I'm very interested in a E-truck. The key features for me are all about range, towing capacity, charge time and charger availability. If a long day towing requires 30+minute recharges every few hours, then that's a deal killer. Until I get get 300 miles while towing and have less than 30 minutes between charges, I'll keep my carbon converter. I do think a hybrid is the best solution...waiting for that magic too.

As said above. Need range while towing. I keep my trucks awhile, and a lot of E truck development could happen in parallel by the time I'm ready to buy another truck. As for now, none of it really appeals to me except the torque.

    LED headlamps/fogs; interior footlamps.
If it were priced like a Toyota, YES but its not.

Why only in an upscale vehicle and not the common folk toyotas?

The good news is that they are deploying it now in the Lexus line, so in 3-7 years it will trickle down,. Just like the hybrid speculated Tundra getting a Lexus' born V6 . Our V8's came from the Racing side of TRD. That's why they are awesome, and have lasted so long in production. My guess would be that if it's already great in a Lexus, then it will eventually be awesome in our Yotas too.

    BUT...

    I won't be trading my SC'd 5.7- 2.5 or whatever gen, pig-on-pavement, flying-brick, super-guzzler-non-green-real-truck-machine
..for a very long time, even for a million mile warranty

It would really depend on Milage on a charge and charge times. I would like to see 600 miles per charge with a 30 minute recharge time and maybe 400 per charge while towing.

It's not the warranty I'd be that concerned about given that electric motors are relatively simple compared to gasoline engines, though it would be good peace of mind if it covers the battery. My issues with electric are more around:
    Where do I charge it?
How long does it take to charge?
Can it tow a travel trailer a few hundred kilometers to one of the campgrounds I frequent, sit there for up to a week (no power some of the places I camp) and tow my trailer back on a single charge?
How much is my power bill going to go up if I'm charging it overnight every night?
How fast will the battery drain when I'm running the heater full blast at -40?
