Hi everyone. I’m finally gonna get the bed sprayed with rhino lining. I know there’s a debate between rhino and line x but I decided to go with rhino. Anyway here’s another debate. I’ve seen pics of trucks that have their bed bolts sprayed and ones that don’t. My question is are there pros and cons on either? The shop I’m getting it done at says they spray them. It’s really not an issue for me but it is something I was really curious about. I was more concerned with their prep and application process which sounds pretty solid. I just wanted to know everyone’s take on whether to spray the bolts or not.

They removed all my bed bolts when I got mine Line-X but they sprayed over the tie down hooks.

Not sure the reasoning behind either.

Personally, I'd rather have all bolts and screws and tie downs removed prior to the spray. Just in case they need to be removed or replaced in the future.

Air bags, ARK liners, misc bullshit added also
One good reason to have them remove the bed mounting bolts before spraying is any future bed repairs. If the bed has to come off the truck, then the liner gets sprayed again, adding another 50-75lbs each time that happens. I would want the bolts removed...

When I got my bed sprayed they removed the tie down hooks and all my bed bolts. I liked that they did that. Just in case I guess.
