What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

2. I have the 2018 headlights. You need that orange spacer and the screws go in the holes closest to the LED. I had to call customer service to figure this out. Screw placement was the hardest part of the install.

They are 285/75/18. I had 295/70/18 Ridge Grapplers prior to these, but they were heavy tires, these Coopers are like 59 lbs each.

 

I thought those were the reverse lights I installed. Same thing I had to only use two. Was the hardest part

 

No the front blinkers. I got my reverse lights from HR and they were just plug and play. Glad I didn’t have to mess with it.

Decided not to repaint the other shell and bought this one instead!

 

That looks great. I was looking at that one for a few months but didn't pull the trigger. May have to put it back in the cart.

 

You'd think... Even just adding it as an option would likely make them more money.

 

Not necessarily, we ended up with the TRD Sport because my wife didn't want the XSP because it had chrome. There was a little bit of a price jump for body color all of the way.

 

Toyota does make a chromeless version it’s called the SR.

 

When did you order yours? I ordered and paid for mine on 4/22, and it still says “awaiting processing”

 

That’s the same reason we ended up with the sport

 

I bought mine on 4/23 and it just shipped today

 

4/22 as well. Got shipping notification Wednesday, actually shipped late yesterday, delivery says Monday.

 

Damn I need to get one ordered ASAP... such a difference

 

I was gonna give them the benefit of the corona virus doubt, but I guess I’ll have to inquire...

 

How do you like them? Have any pics of the light out put? Definitely easier on the wallet then Baja and others. I am going to be ordering the C4 front bumper and have a 30 inch light bar cut out. But the Baja light bar and fog lights cost as much if not more then the bumper.

First quick wash after the TRD Pro grille installation...

 

popped out the blinding chrome cup holder ring and shifter cover and plasti-dipped them

 

gotta quick question if I may ask,
On shifter silver to black convert,
Did you separate the silver part from the black molded part.?
Mine appears to be spun glued by factory. I’m including a picture of the underneath side, red arrows pointing to spin welds.
When you can or anyone respond before I what looks like break them apart to separate them.

I did not separate it. I took my time and taped it off real well

I was wanting to get some light comparison shots this evening. If you have Instagram search #extremeled, there's a ton of 4runner pics on there. Light output is incredible, its a great beam of light. I live on the very edge of town so I was able to take it out where we have zero light and test them out, I love it. The ambers are a little weak but in my experience I've always been disappointed with amber lights. I have amber Baja's that were a huge disappointment. I'm sure they're great for adverse conditions but I live in SoCal, we get a week of rain a year. I'll probably be changing the outer amber lenses for a diffused white lens. I'm also very pleased with the aesthetics, I'm not a fan of the Amazon lightbar look. I think it blends pretty well with the truck. I'll report back with some comparison picks this evening

 

Thanks for the information. They moved to the top of my list. I'm going to go with Diode Dynamic fogs and ditch lights. I definitely wouldn't use the light bar all the time. Just in case I need to find a camping spot in the dark. Haha

Replaced 4 tires with Falken Wildpeak AT3W's in size 275/70/18's. Huge improvement in ride and capability over the passenger tires. Also replaced the spare with a cheaper tire.
