    Does anyone know if 7-13 tundra with 5ft 5 inch bed size is same as 2018 tundra 5.5??? I found a nice bed cover but it’s mentioned as for 7-13 tundra

    Alot of them
    Go to the site or call the manufacturer of the cover. They should be able to tell you what the difference is. I bet it's the width, the contour of the bed, or something with the corners.....just a guess.

    So I just bought a 2nd gen shell for a 3rd gen truck and on mine which is the long bed the fit is perfect EXCEPT that the shell is 1.5" too short at the cab end.
    It turns out that the tailgate on the post 14 trucks is 1.5" thicker for some reason than on the earlier ones?
    You can see the small gap in this picture I think.

    So I just got a 2"x2" L channel of aluminum and it fits that gap like it was made to.
