So, I was looking for a truck to replace my old one that the storm dump a tree on it ... looking on-line found this 05 Tundra DC SR5 V8 4.7l with 220000 miles, one owner. Well, I thought, it only used 1/3 of its life, I expect to get it to 500k miles ;)

Got it, took to my mechanic and asked him to inspect the car. At the end of the day, we've changed breaks, struts, radiator, water pump (*), timing belt (*), thermostat(*), and cover gaskets.

(*) Didn't see any label saying it has ever being changed.

Now it is stereo upgrade: Receiver, speakers, 4 channel amp, mono amp, and sub (another post for the sub soon, as the seat vibration is driving me crazy) and have a good paint job - nothing fancy, I like cars with the original look.

I'm living in Georgia now and that's my 3rd Toyota parked on the driveway. Thinking if I'm going to use my RAV or my Tundra for my daily drive, as I don't drive more than 150 miles/week ...

About me: Electronic engineer, that decided 30 years ago not to work on that and mess with computers, so: programmer of dead languages like Cobol/Fortram/Pascal, network engineer, FOSS supporter, etc.

P.S. Pictures will come, even though it is ugly right now with a bad paint, but will get there.
