When I got my license I had every intention of buying a first gen Tacoma but couldn't find one that I could afford. I ended up with a Subaru instead. One of life's mistakes. After selling that somehow I ended up with my first truck. 99 Dodge Diesel.

Once we got married my wife and I bought her 4Runner. This has proven to be one of the best purchases we have ever made. My wife adores it.

Sold the Dodge and drove a little beater for a while until I bought my Tundra. I love this truck and would not trade it for anything!

Damn I wish I had a picture of my first truck. 1991 Ford F-150 rcsb. Red on Black with a 5-7” static drop. 15” black steelies with white walls. I shaved all the body in shop class. Was a beat up rat/sport truck before it was mainstream cool. And I can’t even prove it! Hauled ass and cornered awesome. Last I heard the truck went to the crusher .

And a couple of Suburbans...

My last pickup was a 2014 Ram 1500...

Oddly enough, I can't find any pics of the first new vehicle I ever bought; a 1992 Toyota 4x4 regular cab pickup. I believe it was $12,800 brand new off the floor.

A 1979 Dodge W100 I bought when I lived on Kauai, HI...

And the truck I regretted selling almost as much as the `66 F100, my cherry `92 F250 with 49k original miles and a FI 460 on 35's...

My buddy had one with the straight 6. After he got a new truck we cut then the roof off it and bush beat it until the motor block cracked. Then we would fill it with gear oil and bomb start it and it would still run until it leaked enough out it stalled haha! Finally parked it in the dump.

My wife and I have owned..a 1997 Tacoma. 5 4runners (1999,2002, 2003, 2008, and still own a 2013). 1 Prius. 2011 Tundra. My last truck was a 2017 Tacoma, was good to haul my kayak fishing setup, and a RTT. Now back to a 2019 Tundra with 2 kids and a boat.
But why own that when I can own this?

My first truck and first vehicle, 88' sr5 3.0 v6 4runner. Sadly never drove it more than a 1000 miles but it was a fun truck while I had it. body was rotted to hell and the head gasket was on its way out but it would start up and take me where I wanted every time

Summer of 2014 I found this 1971 C10. Had only had 4,000 miles put on it in the previous 16 years. It was near mint and all classic...paid $5k!
Drove it all summer...my 2 daughters and I loved it. Already having a classic vehicle in the barn and a commitment to keep our worldly possessions to a few...a guy 2 hours away who wanted it badly gave me $10k for it.
Yes, I wish I had not sold it, but the $10k came in useful to adopt our 3rd daughter a few months later.

Same with mine got it for 5K and sold it 2 years later minor upgrades for 10k. That 71 you had is exactly what I want I found a super clean 74 in white for 16k with an LS swap already installed but in these times now it’s hard to part with the cash on a toy

98 Ranger 4x4, manual transmission. Sits in my garage, not sure what do with it. Still runs great, even though it's had a tortured life. When I bought it a couple of years ago, it was very rough. Put way too much money into it but has been a lot of fun off road around here. It's had 9 owners, been to several auctions and has had a few minor collisions.
