TRD skid plate install with lift

Trying to fit a TRD skid plate on my tundra with a 2” lift. I used the differential kit with the lift kit and the skid plate hits the differential mounts because of the spacers

Anyone have this before? What do you end up doing with it?

 

I used longer bolts on the rear of the plate and put an additional 3/4" spacer.

The diff drop isn’t necessary. That being said, if you dead set on keeping the diff drop then get a skid plate spacer kit. I think a few people offer them.

 

How much is a decent price for the trd pro skid? Anything shipped to hawaii is outrageous but if I order from my dealer they never charge me shipping. 499$ steep?

will taking the spacer kit out effect alignment?

 

I just installed the readylift kit for diff drops on mine today in order to get the TRD pro skid on. Worked out great.

 

Here’s a few pictures of the skid plate with readylift spacers installed. Did my best to get a photo with the diff drop as well.

Installed the ready lift spacer kit and was disappointed with the lack of instructions. Also it doesn’t retain the factory jack point on the plate. It uses a long this spacer instead of a reinforced box spacer that comes with the plate. I’d like to have a piece of aluminum cut to extend the box spacer and retain that structural support at the center of the plate. Otherwise it worked great. Don’t torque the gram bits too hard you can bend the soft crossmember metal.

 

Right in the middle of this and cant figure out what hardware and spacers are for what! Instructions would of been very helpful. and from what Im seeing its missing some hardware.

Do you think this will work with 6112's on the top setting and with a diff drop installed?
