    Hola,

I just received my 6112 today. I Order these from a vendor who offered the assembly on KYB top hats for the convenience and sweet pricing

    1) However, Looking at the units, the position of the top 4 bolts are not lined up with the lower eye to be installed into the truck. "Is it possible to bolt the top and by using a screw driver through the eye twist the lower eye to align with the bottom? I have seen some shocks/spring setup where you can and some you can't. If I can't then the assembly would been a waste and I would need to disassemble and reassemble.

    2) This is my first set of Bilsteins. I have asked for these to be set at 1.9. Looking from the bottom, the snap ring has a gap around the shock body. Is this normal?

Appreciate in advance for the answers.

IF im not mistaken, on these you can hand tighten the 4 top hat nuts to the truck and then you can rotate the bottom of the shock to line up with the lower mounting hole. Totally could be wrong though..went through a similar situation with an old 4Runner, and this worked for me.

Yes. Bolt it up top snug. Get a long screw driver, or breaker bar to stick through it....basically anything to give you leverage and you can twist the eye to line up.

    DAN, you the MAN!

I just used 2 large screwdrivers. One on each end and easy peasy.

And assuming the gap between the ring is normal?
